Radiesse wrinkle filler is safe, biocompatible, non-toxic, and non-antigenic. It is an ideal solution for the correction of moderate to
severe facial wrinkles and folds and for the correction of the signs of facial lipoatrophy. It has also received CE mark certification for
plastic and reconstructive surgery, including soft tissue augmentation of the facial area, and vocal fold insufficiency. Talk to your
doctor about your medical history when deciding on treatment options. You should not use Radiesse dermal filler if you are allergic to any
of its ingredients. You should also not choose Radiesse filler if you desire only short-term results.

How does Radiesse work?
Radiesse is a safe, FDA-approved dermal filler that restores a natural, long-lasting, youthful look. This convenient treatment can restore
facial volume as well as correct smile lines, nasiolabial folds and wrinkles around the nose and mouth. Radiesse is made of unique
calcium-based microspheres suspended in a natural gel that is injected into the skin through a simple, safe and minimally invasive
procedure.
Radiesse works with your body below the skin's surface. Tiny calcium-based microspheres form a “scaffold” to support and stimulate the
growth of your own collagen. Over time, the calcium-based microspheres gradually break down and are safely and naturally absorbed by your
body. Radiesse does more than just temporarily fill-in facial folds and wrinkles - it can restore facial volume for the youthful look you
want.
How is Radiesse different from other fillers?
Compared with other injectable fillers, Radiesse wrinkle filler offers significant advantages:
• Delivers immediate correction
• Typically requires only one treatment for optimal results for most patients (a touch-up may be required)
• Stimulates the body to produce new collagen over time
• Results last up to a year or more for many patients
• Reduces the need for re-treatment
• More cost-effective for many patients
• Soft, natural-looking results that feel like the patient's own tissue
• Primary component is identical in composition to the mineral portion of bones and teeth
• Contains no human- or animal-derived components
• Virtually no risk of allergic reaction
• Does not require sensitivity testing prior to treatment
Is Radiesse safe?
Radiesse is safe. Hundreds of thousands of patients have experienced Radiesse and more than 4,000 physicians worldwide have been trained
to provide Radiesse treatments. Through years of clinical studies and independent research, Radiesse has proven to be safe and effective.
With Radiesse, you get FDA-approved, safe, clinically-tested reliability.
Common side effects of Radiesse?
Talk to your doctor about the possible side effects of Radiesse dermal filler. Normal, injection-related reactions, such as mil irritation, swelling, itching, bruising or tenderness at the injection site may occur. These side effects generally last for a short time,
are mild in nature, and resolve on their own. As with all procedures that involve an injection through the skin, there is a risk of
infection. However, no infections have been reported in the clinical study of Radiesse filler. Report any side effects you may experience
to your doctor.
What can I expect during treatment?
Radiesse is injected into the skin through a simple, safe, convenient procedure. Typically administered in a doctor's office, with the use
of a local anesthetic, Radiesse treatments have little to no downtime, with most patients returning to normal activities soon after
treatment. Your doctor will answer all of your questions and prepare you for the treatment. The area where the injections will be given will
be cleaned with an antiseptic. As with any injection, injections with Radiesse dermal filler may hurt. A topical anesthetic will be used,
and lidocaine may be mixed with Radiesse in the syringe to ensure a virtually painless procedure. Radiesse dermal filler will be injected in
small amounts into the skin using a very fine needle. An ice pack may be applied to the treatment area before or after treatment to help
reduce swelling.
When will I see results from the treatment?
Many patients will achieve their desired result after just one visit. Your doctor will decide with you the number of treatment sessions and
the amount of Radiesse dermal filler you will need at each treatment session. Because Radiesse is a long-term cosmetic enhancement, and to
ensure your satisfaction, your physician might schedule a follow-up visit, where a touch-up treatment may be recommended.
What type of aftercare is necessary?
Immediately following a treatment session with Radiesse dermal filler redness, bruising, or swelling may occur in the treatment area. Not
all patients experience these, but please note that such effects can occur and are not out of the ordinary for such a treatment. These signs
usually go away in a short period and are generally mild in nature. An ice pack may be applied to the treatment area to help reduce
swelling. Your health care provider will give you specific post-treatment care instructions.
For approximately 24 hours after treatment:
• Avoid significant movement or massage of the treated area.
• Do not apply makeup.
• Avoid extensive sun or heat exposure.
• Avoid exercise, alcohol and lying down for six hours after the treatment.
• Most patients feel comfortable going back to their normal activities immediately after treatment with Radiesse dermal filler.
You may be able to feel the area where Radiesse dermal filler was injected for some period after injection. Over time, the injected area
will feel more and more like your own tissue.
Who is a candidate for Radiesse?
Radiesse treatment results are long-lasting, but not permanent. The calcium-based microspheres gradually break down and are safely and
naturally absorbed by your body. Treatment effects will differ for each person.
Without touch-ups, your skin will begin to gradually look like it did before treatment as you near the end of the time period Radiesse
dermal filler usually lasts. Periodic touch-up injections will help you maintain the look you have after.
